Lagerstroemia is classified in deciduous shrubs. It reaches 5 meters in height and 2 meters in width. Its shape is light cup-shaped. The flowers are the most beautiful part of the plant, as they appear many together and are pink in color. This flowering lasts from July to September. The ecological requirements are limited to the fact that it does not tolerate very low temperatures and loves abundant sunshine. It prefers light soil (sandy) with good drainage. If it is pruned in winter, it will give even more lush foliage. It is a suitable tree for patios, narrow pathways and blends well with other trees of rich green color.
